When Bel and MT approached us with their wedding concept, it worried me a bit! Bohemian style isn’t something easy to find in Indonesia, especially in a hilly town like Bandung.Despite feeling worried at first, I felt excited that I’m trusted to decorate their wedding. Bel & MT are Malaysians and have chosen Bandung as their destination wedding, hence I felt very honored that my hometown has become an international choice.
So, they chose Pine Hill as the wedding venue, it is a vast land surrounded by pine trees in a suburb of Bandung. Bel & MT are a very edgy couple, they love bright colours and to me, it is a breath of fresh air from the pastels trend this year. Based on their brief, we proposed having many dreamcatchers for the reception area, teepee tents for the cocktail area, bohemian-print cloths, and a macrame screen as a wishing corner. We kept everything loud with colours, and as for the bridal table, we chose to play with different colourful chairs to mirror their fun, bold personalities.
As for the flowers, Bel’s bouquet is bright tone and the use of edgy Nantucket and the combination of Mokara & Succulents add textures that are interesting! No boho wedding is complete without a flower crown and it was just so pretty on the Bride!
